Prepare yourself!  This book will leave you longing for more.  It’s such a fantastic tease!  I was already waiting on pins and needles for more Damon Scott, but his little gem only made that need ratchet up several levels!
The Prince gives us a view into Damon and Penny’s early relationship history.  I never would have imagined that beginning!  It's  intriguing, entertaining, mysterious, and NOT to be missed! 
Here’s what I loved:  Well duh!  How many times have I mentioned Damon’s name.  He’s the biggest draw, however don’t sleep on Penny.  I’m definitely intrigued by her character now that I know her a little better.  She’s strong, independent, and brilliant.  That characters definitely shine!
The storyline.  The mystery and suspense is a huge draw.  I cannot wait to see how this will turn out.
The writing – In a word, it’s brilliant.  Intricate and enthralling.  The tale is weaved perfectly.  I want to unravel all the secrets.
Overall, it’s another winner.  The Prince served its purpose of making crazy for the next book in the series.  I can’t wait to read The King!!

This can't be considered a book. It's more like the first couple of chapters of a book. A series should connect but each book should stand on its own. This story does not. You have to keep reading to find out what happens to the main character. Just as I was starting to like her, the book ends. Don't waste your time.
Prequel to the Masterpiece Duet which is 'The King' and 'The Queen.'

This is pretty dark. A story full of poverty, a mother that ODs in front of her young daughter, an alcoholic & gambling father that leaves his young daughter for days or weeks alone with no money or food, fancy loan sharks and/or pimps - I can't tell. In fact I'm a little confused about the whole thing. I really don't see the rest of the story lightening up....
I feel gritty and a little depressed after reading it. I'm not sure if I'll subject myself to the rest of the story.
Oh wow!!! This is such a good book. Damon obviously wanted Penny when she was just a kid, but decided against it because she was too young. She's not a kid anymore and Damon's come to collect what's his. Her father hasn't learned his lesson yet.
This was a magnificent prequel to the King and I absolutely can not wait to start it. seeing Penny and Damon's start after knowing what happened to her in Orchard and seeing her in The Castle. I am so excited and nervous and dying of anticipation - all the normal requisite feelings before starting a Skye Warren book. She is my favorite for a reason. Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
This is a short story introducing us to Penny and Damon way before the events of the Endgame trilogy and, oh my, what a great introduction.
We meet them at a young age, learn a little bit about their background and what is shaping them as a way of prologue for the upcoming story, The King.
Once again, I've been enraptured by Ms. Warren's words. I totally love the glimpses we get of the characters personalities, their reasons to behave a certain way and can honestly say the seed has been planted for me to want to know a lot more about them. I can't wait to read more about Damon's story and his relationship with Penny.
This is really a tease of the full story of Damon and Penny.
If you have read the Endgame series and wanted to know more about these two this is your chance.
I was so surprised at how quickly I fell in love with Penny. I already loved Damon from The Pawn, The Knight and The Castle and was intrigued by Penny in My Sweet Villaintine, but this is so much more about who they are. It is absolutely AMAZING and I can’t wait to read The King and The Queen!

This is a prelude and more in depth background about Damon Scott who was first introduced to readers in the Endgame series. Penny is a girl who had to grow up fast and from the wrong side of the tracks. She is super smart but has to suppress her "smartness" due to unfortunate circumstances. Damon and Penny meet each other at young age. That meeting would lead to unfinished business and so the story begins! Skye Warren is a master at dark romance and can't to see wait to see what happens!!!!
