Dedicated to those who go above and beyond: To every law enforcement agency who fights for justice, to the firefighters and medical personnel who put their lives on the line for those they don't even know. We thank you, we appreciate you, and we pray for you.LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK!! Is there a TEN STAR option available?? Just wow, the previous books in this series were outstanding as well but just WOW for Valor! That dedication ALONE touched me before I even got to the story. Warning to other readers, once you start Valor you WILL. NOT. be able to put it down so make sure you have plenty of time on your hands before diving in. I didn't stop until page 140. You've been justly warned :)
Emily is SO AWESOME! Dedicated worker, loyal friend, does NOT LIKE when others get hurt or killed ESPECIALLY when they're protecting her. An officer is shot off page responding to a 911 call made for Emily and she was worried for this person even though she doesn't meet him. It's books like this one that are more than a page turner, they resonate with my soul.
Brady is trying to relax and have a much needed vacation (okay so he's a little bored and considering going back to work since he's not much for doing nothing, the ENTIRE St. John family is like this, being productive and getting the bad guys is what they DO) when he hears Emily's screams and intervenes. The plot DOES NOT slow down from that point!
My FAVORITE part of this story and worth the price of this book is Brady's siblings. His two brothers get involved almost right away and the banter between them is priceless and SO enhancing to the story. Both his sisters are in the book also, but briefly. Hilarious when one of them threatens to call his mom and tell on him if he doesn't cooperate getting his knee looked at. I wish this was my family, they're just so great to read about :)
I so relate to Emily in a small way regarding her strength, beauty and faith. She is just an EASY character to love and root for, also VERY intelligent woman when facing off with the bad guys. I easily cheered for her more than once in how she outsmarts the villains. They are just RELENTLESS in shutting up witnesses and making sure no one interferes with their shady business.
Loved how Emily opens up to Brady and how he gets her right away, the connection between them was wonderful. Very little romance, but great chemistry! Loved how things concluded also, with victims being liberated and Emily speaking about Jesus to a dying man who deserved to suffer. Have I mentioned that I loved this book enough times? Ha! Can't wait for Book 4, these books are so good for my heart :)

Code of Valor Blue Justice Eason 9780800727048 Books Reviews
Lynette Eason is a master of the twists & turns in a suspense novel! This one was no exception,...I especially liked the surprise visit from some of my favorite characters from a North Carolina town! A nice addition! 🙂 I can’t wait for the next book in the series & more from the St. John family!!!
Lynette Eason knows how to keep the reader turning the page. Code of Valor captured my attention with the first line and made me feel like I had been transported into the story running for my life with Emily Chastain, a Financial Crimes Investigator, and Detective Brady St. John. If you're looking for a fast-paced novel, you'll love this one.
Thank you to the publisher for the complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
Once again Lynette Eason doesn’t disappoint. I was so involved that I basically read it in one sitting. Well developed characters that were made more enjoyable because of the addition of characters from Lynn Blackburn’s Dive Team Investigations series. I loved that the main female character struggled with her weight yet learns to love who she is. You can always count on a wild ride full of ups and downs and unexpected curves. Lynette Eason has become one of my favorite authors.
Emily’s an investigator for a bank to find any fraud or shady business. When she and a reporter friend dig deep into one of her bank’s customers they become targets. Brady’s on the police force and dive team. He’s on a much needed vacation when he sees someone tied to a boat on the lake. This is a story packed with suspense, intense moments and romance! It tells of trusting God even when bad things happen, which they do. There were many twists and turns that kept me reading much too late at night! I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series!
Brady is on vacation, minding his own business and reliving his failures when he hears a scream. Emily is about to be killed and ends up in the lake where she is rescued by Brady, this is just the beginning. Through twists and turns while they both deal with their personal demons they each feel an attraction with the other. Can they stay alive long enough for love to have a chance? With multiple villains and motivations this one will have you guessing.
In the third installment of the Blue Justice series, another of the St. John family gets involved with a case of kidnapping, attempted murder (I lost count of how many times Emily's life was threatened--shots fired numerous times, kidnapped, etc.] But the action was nonstop & full of suspence. This was not my favorite of the series, because I felt some of the elements of the plot were kind of nebulous. Two warring entities were each trying to "get" Emily, with one side wanting her dead & the other wanting her alive to solve their problem & then to kill her. Fake names made it hard to keep up with the actual perps. I gave it 4 stars based on a good plot but not quite pulled together. Still a good read.
Dive Team Investigator Brady St. John is trying to relax at a lake side cabin. However when he hears a woman’s screams he has to jump into action. The mystery around the kidnapping and rescue of financial investigator, Emily Chastain keeps them on the run. His crime fighting St John family steps in to help. The characters, mystery, and action kept me engaged. I loved how they share struggles with trusting God after tough situations have happened with both Emily and Brady. As they learn to trust God and each other, the mystery around them grows. As their trust and relationship grow, can they outrun the evil targeting them? Gripping storytelling, Eason took me into the dive team investigation and left me gasping for air. I loved the crossover characters from Lynn H Blackburn’s Dive Team Investigations. 5 stars!
